❌❗️STOP SCROLLING❗️❌

This is very important!!!

These beautiful animals are the vaquitas, the world’s smallest and most endangered porpoise. There are an estimated 12-30 remaining in the wild and their numbers have been rapidly declining due to being caught in illegal fishing nets.

APROXIMATELY 36 ARE KILLED EACH YEAR. THERE ARE ONLY 30 LEFT. THIS COULD BE THEIR LAST YEAR IF WE DON’T DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!

Donate to conservation foundations like the WWF who work to protect vaquitas! We need to keep this beautiful animal on our planet!!!

Please share this post so we can spread awarness because hardly anyone knows about them!!!

OOF I REMEMBER THESE, they’ve been endangered for a while

as of may 2018 there is only 12.

People are just awful. And when you look them up, there’s also a bunch of graphic images of them so be careful.

OKAY HEAR ME OUT PEOPLE! I’m from BCS in Mexico, a stade where most of the living Vaquitas marinas have been seen around! And I’ve have info about them!

The thing is that the Vaquita marina is a very fragile animal, is REALLY hard to keep in captivity since they get stressed so easily, in fact we lose two of them when the teams assigned to investigate them tries to take them to a specialised protected area for them to be secure.

We keep lossing them bc they get stuck in nets that are they to catch Totoaba (another endangered species…)

And for bad fortune, The Whale Museum of La Paz in BCS soon will close its gates, its a REALLY BAD thing bc that place was taking a lot of the charges of the research of the Vaquita at a local level

Since used to live there I now quiet enough and this situation with the Vaquita havw been around since I was a child but never as bad as this, this is fucked up
